Q. Please tell us about your company's business, especially your business overseas.

Our company was established in 2001 and has been selling electronic devices and solar panels.
In 2018, we started selling software and have achieved record high performance with this COVID-19 pandemic.

We have a mission called "Challenge". We are not satisfied with our main business, which is growing year by year, but we have also started e-commerce sales, which we expect to grow rapidly in the future. We have been selling our products on domestic and international e-commerce sites as well as on our own site for about three years now.

When we started our overseas business, we first expanded to North America. We thought that communication would be smoother and sales would be easier in English-speaking countries. After getting on track, we expanded to Asia and Europe. The needs of the Japanese market differ from those of overseas markets, and in our e-commerce sales, we sell traditional Japanese crafts, for which there is a strong demand from overseas customers.

For sales in North America and Europe, we mainly use our own website. This is for the purpose of creating a community of fans for our brand. On the other hand, we use Amazon for the purpose of attracting customers.

Besides that, we also have a base in China where we sell digital devices as a B to B business.

Q. How did you choose OPTI?

At first, we were trying to register for VAT on our own. However, it did not go as smoothly as we had hoped because we needed a local agent and it took a long time. We also asked our accountants about it, but they seemed to have no idea about overseas taxes.

Q. Please tell us your aspirations for your future business and anything you would like to say to us.

We would like to further expand our sales in Europe in the future.

Europe is a very large market, and we expect that there is still a lot of room for growth.
